How to Print Your Image Flashcards & Matching Image Cards
HOW TO PRINT
Image Flashcards & Matching Image Cards
(Tips for home printers and double-sided printing)
1. Download & Open
· Save the PDF to your computer first (don’t print from a web preview).
· Open in a full PDF viewer (such as Adobe Acrobat) so all printer settings are available.
2. Choose the Right Paper
· Cardstock (65–110 lb) gives the best durability for cutting and handling.
· Paper size: Letter / 8.5 × 11 in.
· Paper Orientation: Portrait (vertical layout)
3. Image Flashcards (2 per page)
· Pages to print: __________ to __________
· Select Print on Both Sides (double-sided)
· Set Flip on SHORT edge (keeps text aligned with the correct image).
· Page Size: Actual Size / 100%
Tip: Printer models vary—print a single test page first.
If the back comes out upside-down, switch to the opposite option (Flip on long edge).
4. Matching Image Cards (6 per page)
· Pages to print: __________ to __________
· Select Print One-Sided (single-sided)
· Page Size: Actual Size / 100%
5. Finishing Tips
· Allow ink to dry fully before cutting.
· For heavy use, laminate or cover with clear adhesive sheets.
· Store cards in a labeled envelope or ring binder for easy access.
Optional Printing Services
· Many local print shops allow you to upload PDFs online and place orders for pickup or delivery—handy if you don’t have a duplex printer at home.
· FedEx Office (Kinkos) offers a waterproof, tear-resistant paper that is durable and great for heavy classroom or outdoor use. This option is more expensive than standard cardstock.
(Prices vary by location. If budget is a concern, standard cardstock remains the most economical choice.)
