The CVI Book Nook began as a passion project—created when I couldn’t find materials that truly worked for learners with CVI. Over time, that same passion has grown into opportunities to work directly with families, educators, and organizations who want support adapting materials with intention, creativity, and care.

These services are an extension of the heart of the

CVI Book Nook:

Supporting visual access, sparking curiosity,

and inviting learners with CVI

to engage with materials in meaningful ways.

Who I Work With

I offer consulting and training for:

Families supporting children with CVI at home
Teachers of the Visually Impaired, special educators, related service providers, and school-based teams
Organizations and groups interested in adapting and refining materials to better support visual access for learners with CVI and low vision

Home Consultations

Personalized support for adapting materials and everyday activities in the home with CVI-specific visual access in mind. These consultations focus on making thoughtful adjustments that support visual attention, engagement, and independence.

Individualizing CVI Book Nook Materials

Support with adapting CVI Book Nook materials for individual learners.

Basic adaptations focused on personalized images and text
Advanced adaptations, including animation and audio

Virtual Trainings

Live Zoom trainings for schools, teams, and organizations interested in learning how to adapt materials using presentation software and accessible tools. Sessions are hands-on and practical, grounded in real examples, so participants leave with ideas they can use right away.

CVI Book Nook Virtual Tours

Guided walk-throughs of the CVI Book Nook website designed to help you feel confident exploring and using the materials. Together, we look at the different types of resources available and how to download, customize, and use them effectively.
